Business Intelligence Lead

Mission:

• The primary responsibility is working with key business stakeholders to design and develop semantic layers used for end user reporting, KPI’s and analytics capability
• Plays an active role in developing the strategy for EMEA Operations regarding data management
• Analyzes and interprets complex requests for information and delivers reports/information / data to various audiences at Steelcase in support of key business decisions, analytics initiatives, and application, using programming skills and decision support software as well as strong business knowledge
• Acts as a liaison in between business process and Information Technology, able to translate and navigate in between the two, eliminating roadblocks and creating flawless synergies
• The goal is to develop complete and seamless reporting capabilities, in a data driven organization and support enterprise-wide change to facilitate global commerce
• Works with key stakeholders and business analysts to develop and refine reporting requirements
• Reports are created or modified by extracting, cleaning, harmonizing, and integrating data from both internal and external data sources using programming skills
• Create daily, weekly, monthly reports to track logistics performance (not limited to) while working with tight deadlines everyday
• Analyzing and defining the technical specifications for creating or modifying specialized reports by utilizing decision support software – SAP Business Explorer, SAP Business Objects, SAP Business Warehouse, Design Studio or SAAS
• Works closely with IT and other relevant parties for data analysis automation and improvements
• Develops a sound knowledge of information flow within the ERP database system and how this ties together within entire supply chain flow
• Create queries to extract data of SAP
• Troubleshoot on identifying and solving SAP errors
• Create daily, weekly, monthly reports to track logistics performance while working with tight deadlines everyday
• Connect with different departments to collect the data and develops a relation of trust through open communication to all relevant parties involved
• Understand stakeholders and business needs and capture them in relevant reports development, strongly considering the self-service perspective
• Deep-dive data analysis and make sound recommendations to key stakeholders
• Ensured the reports management (update, modify) and keep the instructions (JBS) up to date
• Participates to process improvement initiatives and assists continuous improvement actions
• Create documentation and departmental knowledge-based articles
• Presents and explains technical information to diverse audiences in a commonly understood way
• Provide expertise and know-how to all the departments in the Distribution infrastructure of the company (Manufacturing, Logistics, Customer Service, After Sales, Operations)

Education/Experience: 

• Four-year degree in Information Technology or a related field
• Relevant working experience in Database Administration
