    Requirements

    Degree qualified, or equivalent, in Engineering
    Considerable experience of service workshop processes, including stator bar manufacture, rotor coil production, rotor rewinding activities, brazing methods, insulation technologies and associated measurements preferred.
    Knowledge and experience of synchronous generator design and construction
    Focused on Quality, Cost, On-time, and On-budget Performance
    Six Sigma trained and certified / Quality experience (GE employees only)
    Ability to teach and set standard practices in workshop practices
    Has contributed to the solving of significant technical problems in workshop processes
    Metric focused and excellent communication and presentation capability

    Responsibilities


    Provide primary support to the Bucharest repair shop activities with REIs (Repair Engineering Instructions), Inspection & Test plans, tooling design and provision, new process implementation and support for existing processes.
    Develop expertise in generator component repair, processes, tooling and testing
    In association with RTCoE Engineers, develop REIs for and assist regional RTEs with repair disposition, REI maintenance and upgrades.
    Provide technical guidance, both thru collaboration and consultation, to less experienced engineers to other individuals responsible for working generator repairs.
    Provide guidance for development of and improvements to existing generator maintenance, and repair processes and procedures
    Support cost reduction, cycle reduction, and product quality enhancement projects
    Author or contribute to the development of REI procedures / work instructions / standards and design practices associated with this technology area.
    Highlight lessons learned and makes repair practices / design standards changes or other appropriate changes in practices to prevent reoccurrence
    Contribute to engineering design review activities, and lessons learned
    Support technical assignment in the tendering phase and RFQ assessment
    Support final Client technical discussions during FAT (factory acceptance tests)
