Finance Specialist - Statutory at General Electric

Essential Responsibilities:
STAT Accounting records:

• Responsible for a proper STAT bookkeeping and reconciliations based on valid documentation which is compliant with local STAT and TAX legislation & GE internal requirements
• Archive the documents to ensure full safeguards around company records
• Work closely with Record & Report and Buy to Pay accountants in the Shared Service Center
• Prepare GAAP to STAT reconciliation
• Support periodic audits from STAT auditors

• Prepare tax and related returns, proper and timely calculation, submission and settlement of liabilities to the state budget as per tax regulations (VAT, Corporate Income Tax, WHT)
• Prepare STAT to TAX reconciliation
• Maintains professional relations with local authorities, support for periodic audits from tax authorities

• Requirements:
• Strong experience in an accountant position
• Good knowledge of accounting and tax laws
• Fluent in Romanian and English
• Good command of MS Office (especially Excel)
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Proactive approach
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, global team environment
• Analytical thinking
• Able to meet tight deadlines
