Buyer - Italian/Spanish

Main objectives and activity

The Indirect CoE Buyer places purchase orders, tracks and expedites for non-catalog orders to meet internal customer requirements.
He/She initiates supplier set up with Commodity Leader's approval, he ensures Purchase orders are placed within 24 hours of requisition creation date/time, monitors progress of orders and expedites critical orders and reject non-compliant requisitions.
He/she deals with Invoice discrepancies, immediately resolves all issues relating to invoices on hold, Manages purchasing system alerts (., invoice, quantity, etc.)
In collaboration with the Buying Team manager, the Indirect CoE Buyer conducts negotiation of purchase value and payment terms on buys that are not covered under any existing contract, agreement or supplier & revisit agreed terms for the specific needs with existing contract, agreement or supplier if it makes sense. He/She implements the deals.
He/She works closely with and supports EMEA Commodity Managers by providing customer/supplier feedback and assuring compliance of order placement with strategic supply base.
He/She also drives choice, implementation and use of online catalogs with the support of the CST

Knowledge and experience


1 - 3 years experience in a purchasing environment
Good understanding of English and Italian/Spanish
Good technical knowledge of Procurement/sourcing;
Excellent technical skills of SAP purchasing system
Strong communication skill and a team player
Self motivated capable of working to aggressive timescales
Good organizational skills with an ability to prioritize
Capable of Problem solving
Skilled in Microsoft Office
