Education and Experience

First level university degree in related science field recommended.
Typically 4-6 years of experience in a related field recommended.
National Certifications concerning Fire Prevention and workplace Health and Safety H&S 80 hours, Fire Prevention 40 hours,
Risk evaluator course 180-240 hours,
Civil Protection Course

Deep knowledge of legislation and the regulations governing a state, province, country, or sub- region.
Strong technical abilities.

Management Level

Responsibilities

Responsible for managing projects covering the EHS portfolio within a sub-region or complex site, or multiple sites.
Manages and performs the daily operations of projects, including: customer inquiries, program support, and communicating with local authorities.
Responsible for implementing training programs and communications to targeted employees.
Manages projects to stay within budget.
Develops and manages EHS programs that have a multi-site to country-wide impact; participates in strategic planning for the job family.
Interacts with and makes presentations to corporate function, affected business functions, and local authorities.
Responsible for maintaining management systems at sites (including documentation).
Respond to worker’s counsel requests/issues (in locations where required by law).
Assures emergency response programs are in place and in compliance with legislation.
