QUALIFICATIONS

Graduate degree in related discipline (business, finance, environment and/or social science) OR Undergraduate degree with 1-2 years of relevant work experience;
Excellent business English oral and writing skills are essential, as the company’s working language is English;
Knowledge and understanding of the financial services industry and SRI/RI market;
Capital markets or CFA background considered an asset;
Excellent research, analytical and writing capabilities;
Meticulous and attentive to detail;
Alignment with Sustainalytics’ mission, vision and values;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
Resourceful, flexible and embraces change;
Interest or background in technological innovation;
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.

POSITION PURPOSE & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The hired candidate will manage a small team (initially 2 junior colleagues) to deliver high-quality Carbon/Climate Change research to both internal and external clients, supported by senior Carbon Team colleagues. The ideal candidate is a process-oriented manager who can efficiently manage junior team members to deliver Carbon/Climate Change Research that will be integrated into carbon products.

Manage and execute carbon/climate change research;
Ensure timely update of the research as per regular update cycles;
Collaborate with the quality team to ensure the quality of research;
Help achieve an efficient balance between human and IT resources, ., contribute to the implementation and testing of new text mining and crawler solutions in consultation with Sustainalytics’ Digital Innovation Team;
Provide coaching and mentoring to team members;
Report team members’ progress and performance on a regular basis;
Organize trainings to stimulate capacity building in the team;
Collaborate (mostly remotely) with senior colleagues based in Amsterdam and Toronto;
Participate in internal projects, product innovation proposals, and process improvements.
