Material Planner with French – Internship

To succeed in this role, we need someone with the following profile:

Education/Experience
 Bachelor’s Degree in Business / Economics or other relevant
 French and English fluent

Skills/Abilities
 High degree of interpersonal skills required
 Strong oral and written communication skills required with all levels, including plant manager, superintendents, team supervisors, production people, and various support staff
 Analytical mindset
 Planning and organizing skills are essential for the success within the role
 Problem solving capabilities and oriented towards solutions
 Able to work collaboratively with colleagues in different locations and in different teams
 Customer focus (internally and externally)
 Able to integrate new software tools and applications with lean practices to provide a scheduling solution for internal and external customers
 Provide scheduling and planning solutions for internal and external production operations developing good SAP knowledge
 Experience in working with Microsoft Office: Excel
 Curious to learn and apply lean techniques in the day to day business
 Must be able to work without direct supervision, with high level of accountability and responsibility

9 months determined period

Mission:
 Schedules and coordinates the efficient distribution of products to satisfy customer demand
 Analyzes and proposes revised shipment plans to respect the confirmed delivery date
 Works with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and accuracy of shipment records
 Determines reorder points and safety stocks and ensures that sufficient levels of inventory are maintained
 Analyzes actual product demand, trends and forecasts, and adjusts inventory plans accordingly
 Analyzes material requirements for raw and purchased material to complete production orders
 Plans and follows up the sequenced production and delivery of parts from internal and external suppliers
 Maintains and analyzes the metrics to meet internal KPIs (reliability, power to say yes and inventory level)
 Collaborates closely with the Procurement department to improve the reliability of the supply chain
 Coordinates and expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between suppliers and/or departments, according to production and shipping schedules or department priorities
 Assists management in resolving external and internal supply chain related issues
 Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records for tracking production operations
 Maintains product coding and material master records
 Analyzes and dispositions slow moving inventory
 Applies and implements lean practices to managing material and scheduling customer orders for least total product cost
 Tracks and implements product changes using ERP tools.
