    Job Description

    The Medical Devices segment produces a broad range of innovative products used primarily by health care professionals in the fields of orthopaedics, neurovascular, surgery, vision care, diabetes care, infection prevention, cardiovascular disease, sports medicine, and aesthetics. This segment is comprised of our Global Medical Solutions, Global Orthopaedics and Global Surgery Groups.
     
    Lead Specialist, Testing & Monitoring Services

    Role Overview

     

    The Lead Specialist CEE is a core member of the Testing & Monitoring Services team of EMEA Center of Excellence (COE), reporting to the Senior Manager Central-Eastern Europe, Testing & Monitoring Services EMEA. The lead specialist is responsible for implementing and executing the Testing & Monitoring Services plans consistently with the business needs and standards developed by EMEA and Global Operations. The Lead Specialist will also be required to help in developing the said plan and will assist in COE related activities beyond testing. In addition he/she will be engaged in new focus areas such as but not limited: HCC monitoring, MAP effectiveness assessments, TPI Monitoring.

    Key responsibilities of suitable applicant: 

     

    • Partners with assigned HCCO’s  from all sectors and Privacy Officers (PO’s) to develop the annual and special needs testing plan
    • Plans and executes testing and monitoring activities for the Operating Companies (OpCo’s) assigned in partnership with the HCCO’s and PO’s using a customized approach as necessary for the country environment.
    • Communicates results with HCCOs / POs and OpCo Management and helps HCCOs / POs to develop Management Action Plans (MAP)
    • Document testing results in a report/dashboard
    • Helps HCCOs / POs to develop and implement monitoring controls at the Countries, including training
    • Helps HCCO’s and PO’s with training as appropriate.
    • Represents the region on project teams to harmonize and standardize HCC & Privacy testing protocols, processes and systems
    Qualifications

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree is preferred
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and/or medical device industries;
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience and demonstrated leadership in HCC or related compliance function (regulatory, quality, finance, HCC)
    • Cross-functional and/or cross-sector experience preferred
    • Experience leading in a multi-national environment preferred
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in audit/testing activities or equivalent functions preferred
    • HCCO/HCC specialist experience preferred 

    REQUIRED TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

    • Requires experience conducting audits and managing auditing programs in one or more compliance areas (HCC, FCPA, Finance, Quality, Regulatory)
    • Requires knowledge of HCC/fraud and abuse laws; regulatory promotional practices; FCPA, financial or auditing practices; and company business processes and policies, such as Sales & Marketing, Medical Affairs, etc. 
    • Demonstrated quantitative analytical or statistical skills required
    • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, including formal presentation skills. Mother tongue in one of the languages in Central-Eastern Europe is preferred
    • Ability to successfully manage multiple critical issues simultaneously
    • Ability to influence, negotiate and communicate with both internal and external customers 

    SPECIAL TRAINING OR CERTIFICATION:
