    Asset Management platform - GE Software Solution related deployments for utility customers.The projects are executed within an international environment involving a blend of development&solution architecture.

    Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering.
    Strong experience with developing applications using industry standard programming languages such as C++, Java, Web Services, XML, Microsoft .NET Framework or others.
    XML scripting (to support UI developments) and Datamodelling (preferably using the Smallworld CASE tool) for data model extensions are also highly desirable
    Ability and willingness to travel overnight for consecutive dates as required (up to 40%)
    Able to work within a multi-discipline, multi-cultural team environment
    Good problem solving skills and a proactive approach to project management
    Team player with professional/positive personal presence
    Strong communicator able to juggle multi-tasking in a high pressure environment
    Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
    Ability to work across diverse personalities and agendas; and at various seniority levels across organizations to achieve goals
    Credible, self-starting, a sense of urgency, a bias to action, good judgment, level

    Desired Characteristics:
    Magik development
    Experience with requisite Smallworld applications (such as, Core Spatial Technology, Office Suites, Network Inventory, Field Force Automation, etc)
    Knowledge of the GE Asset and/or Outage Management software, or related GIS/OMS and/or object-oriented design and programming education/experience are a big plus


    Essential Responsibilities:
    Act as software engineer for Asset Management projects including GIS, Mobile, and OMS
    Provides software solution technical support and consulting services to internal development teams.
    Participates in the development of testing and training materials and supports and/or performs testing, training, and application deployment tasks for the internal project teams.
    Performs system and application design.
    Consults with the internal project team to analyze current operational procedures, identity problems and provide geographical information system technical support. Develops custom GIS applications and System Integration using relevant application development languages.
    Demonstrates andpromotes excellence in all aspects of implementation; including analysis and design, solution architecture, and integration.
    Participates onsoftware quality control procedures including code reviews and promotes code standards – including System Integrationreviews.
    Performs datamodeling design and review when needed.
