These days everything seems to go now in one direction “one thing should do all!”. In Nokia mobile networks we are also in the same spirit, thus we bring in mobile networks the Single-RAN concept. In very few words Single-RAN is combining multiple radio technologies in a single base station’s like 2G, 3G & 4G working together with NB-IoT functionalities. This goes to operational simplification for mobile operators while creating interesting challenges and opportunities for all our engineers.
Building, analyzing and growing such networks is beyond exciting! Making them work the way we envision them serving our needs is an amazing engineering success every time! Tuning and optimizing their performance to almost incredible levels is an accomplishment that shifts concepts and pilots into credibility, both technologically and commercially!
Your main responsibility will be to analyze the mobile networks performance KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) in real networks performing activities such as Quality of Service (global network indicators), stability investigations, troubleshoot degradations while keeping a close loop to R&D teams for fast reaction and corrections. Any deviations from the expectations needs to be well analyzed, tracked, understood and described in front of our customers.
The team focus is to monitor the network performance in the Single-RAN networks thus taking responsibilities for all available Radio Access Technologies (RAT) on the market 2G, 3G and 4G and NB-IoT.
Having global view on network performance, you will be also responsible to define new ways of checking network performances for the next mobile technology like 4.5G. 4.9G, 5G, IoT and Cloud, while improve continuously the monitoring and troubleshooting engineering.
In order to achieve what we planned, we are looking for somebody who is technology addicted and energized to check how mobile networksperforms in reality.
For that we are looking for good team spirit, passionate to learn new things, curious, technology oriented, innovative, self-driven. Being close to the customers, we are also looking for somebody with good communication and presentation skills and is able to travel abroad.
If we add to already mentioned soft skills the bellow technical competences we have the full recipe for perfect team member advanced knowledge of mobile communication networks (2G, 3G , 4G & NB-IoT) with focus on performance measurements, architecture and algorithms. A good knowledge on network performance evaluation like Quality of Service and Experience (QoS and QoE) is preferred.
