Data Warehouse Consultant

A vacancy has become available in the Advisory Services Department of EY for a senior Data Warehouse consultant. The opportunity

You'll have a functional and technical contribution to Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence implementation projects. Another important part of your role will be to actively establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships established with client representatives.

You'll also identify potential business opportunities for EY within existing projects, and escalate these as appropriate. Similarly, you'll anticipate and identify risks within projects and share any issues with more senior members of the team.

In line with EY's commitment to quality, you'll confirm that work is of high quality and is reviewed by the next-level reviewer. As an influential member of the team, you'll help to create a positive learning culture, coach and counsel junior team members and help them to develop.

Your key responsibilities

Participate in IT Advisory engagements related to Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence (implementation or assessment projects)

Work with clients to understand and translate their business needs into system/functional requirements

Work with clients to understand the current state of internal or regulatory reporting and related infrastructure, processes

Perform mapping of data models to source systems in collaboration with client team

Support where needed during system development activities, preparation of test plan/ cases and delivery of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on implemented components

Build strong internal relationships within EY Advisory Services and with other services across the organization

To qualify for the role you must have

A university graduate with a specialization in Computer Science and Information Technology or a related field

Minimum of 2 years experienced in data modelling, data analysis or business analyst experience, ideally with a focus on banking data

Experience in implementation of a Data Warehouse project, at least

Financial Services/Banking exposure is mandatory

Knowledge of DW/BI solutions from various technology stacks such as Oracle (e.g. PL/SQL, ODI, OBIEE, Reports/Forms), IBM (e.g. SPSS, DataStage, Cognos) or Microsoft (e.g. SSAS, SSIS, SSRS), having at least one professional training certificate in one of the mentioned technologies
