What you bring to the team

A University degree in Cybernetics, Econometrics, Computer Science or equivalent

2+ years of IT Operations/Automation/Support experience

Experience in automated testing, deployment, monitoring, IT vulnerabilities management

Experience in Bash scripting

Familiarity with tools like Confluence, JIRA, Git, Jenkins, Maven, Logstash, kibana/grafana, Tivoli scheduler

Experience or affinity with IT Risk & Security concepts

Being able to overcome resistance, work in short sprints, work closely with diverse teams

Good communication skills in English

Strong analytical skills, proactivity and willingness to share knowledge with others

The Mission

ING is looking for an enthusiastic IT Operations Engineer who is technically passionate, solution-focused and able to improve the platform and delivery automation. Ensure and support a stable, secure and performing Customer Domain application. The Customer Domain is part of a larger Client, Reporting and Integration domain with around 200 IT Engineers. There are several key applications, amongst which BCD (Bank-wide Customer Domain) which consists of 75 underlying applications, consisting of 500 reusable components, which work together in one ecosystem.



Your day-to-day

Together with your IT colleagues in Amsterdam you will support and run the internationally used Vantage application

Take care of incident management, and root cause analysis in case of unavailability and data quality issues. You communicate directly with users on this from Amsterdam, London, Brussels, New York and Singapore.

Implement and work with the latest tooling with a strong focus on performance, stability and security

Find opportunities to automate the testing of existing features, performance and security as well as the automation of deployments, monitoring, and more. This is a keu responsibility of the Operations Engineers.

IT Risk & security controls need to be put in place and accurately documented.

Through Agile/Scrum you bring live new sprint releases every 2-4 weeks.
