Senior Switch-Mode Power Supplies Engineer

Microchip Technology is looking for an experienced SMPS Engineer to expand its APID Applications department in Bucharest, Romania. He will be responsible for the technical assistance and trainings for the Microchip’s Analog PWM Controllers line of products.

Job Description:

Design SMPSs based on Microchip’s PWM controllers (schematic, PCB, test procedure, etc.).
Provides technical assistance for internal and external customers related the Microchip’s PWM Controllers line of products.
Develop training courses related to the Microchip’s PWM Controllers line of products.
Occasional travel abroad for short periods of time.

Requirements:

Degree in Electronics, Automatics or Electrical Engineering.
Five years experience in design of SMPS.
Solid knowledge of the fundamental SMPS topologies (buck, boost, etc.).
Solid knowledge of the PWM control strategies of SMPS (voltage mode, current mode, etc.).
Familiar with the stability criteria of SMPS’s control loops.
Experience in PCB design of SMPS.
Altium Designer and SIMPLIS/Simetrix is a plus.
Basic knowledge of microcontrollers is a plus.
Should have good knowledge of English and good communication skills
