QA Software Engineer

Hunt Group – a mix of recruitment (executive search and head hunting) and outsourcing activities in industries such as IT, oil&gas, banking, finance and automotive.

- Minimum 5 years of effective software testing both web and desktop applications;
- Automated software testing;
- Strong analytical and logical thinking;
- Problem-solving oriented attitude;
- A sense of intellectual curiosity and creativity;
- Ability to develop test cases without much specifications;
- ISTQB level 1 (Foundation of Software Testing);
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
- Knowledge of a general issue lifecycle;
- Knowledge of at least one issue tracking tool;
- Basic notions about programming variables, conditional execution, loops, exceptions;
- Advanced knowledge of Windows OS (services, registry, communication protocols);
- Knowledge of testing tools (network traffic capture, profilers, screen recorders, web services testing);

Nice to have:
- ISTQB level 2 (Advanced Test Analyst);
- Knowledge of Visual Basic .NET syntax, to write simple-to-complex statements and expressions;
- Knowledge of a scripting language (UNIX shell scripts, DOS batch files, Power Shell);

- Design and execute test cases;
- Report problems in a bug tracking system and follow-up towards resolution;
- Create test cases based on various sources of information;
- Continuous communication with the development team and the test manager;
- Elaborate documentation related to installation and configuration of software products;
- Participate in sprint meetings;
- Contribute to the evolution of the software products;
- Support developers in identification and reproduction of bugs;
