Financial Analyst, General Ledger - 1 year determined

Required Skills

• Technical Skills – Demonstrates high proficiency in understanding accounting principles (GAAP). Strong conceptual and problem solving skills
• Communication Skills: Demonstrates solid presentation skills. Is proactive in building positive relationships among team members and other functions with which the team interact internationally
• Strong organizational and documentation skills

Required Experience

• Degree in Finance/Economics/Accountancy
• Minimum of 2 years of job experience in the related field
• Good knowledge of accounting principles, ideally in an international company
• Solid hands-on experience in SAP financial systems is required
• Fluent in English and German
• Ability to work under pressure and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and independently
• Pro-active and able to work effectively within a multi-functional and cross-cultural team
• Excellent MS office skills, especially MS Excel

Primary Responsibilities

• Understand, apply and respect the group rules instructions
• Record supporting information for all journal entries
• Assist our German accounting manager with the month end processes including journals and monthly reporting
• Check journal entries booked into the accounting software
• Ensure that reversing entries occur
• Create recurring journal entry templates and ensure that they are changed or terminated when required
• Maintain detailed listings of the contents of all balance sheet accounts
• Assists with the preparation of the audit process for the German entities
• Provide an efficient interface between the accounting managers and the rest of the finance team to perform all tasks requested in a complete and accurate matter
• Assist with other finance projects

This position is available for a 1 year determined contract in either our Cluj Business Center or Munich Learning and Innovation Center, according to candidate's availability.

The general ledger financial analyst position is responsible for the proper control of the books and the preparation of the monthly and quarterly closing in accordance with the group rules (USGAAP). He / She is also responsible to assist Accounting Manager to ensure that the books in local GAAP are properly maintained and all tax and declaration obligations are fulfilled.
