    Requirements

    Required:
    - Basic knowledge of DB2 DBA UDB
    - Working Knowledge of HACMP, HADR in DB2 UDB environment
    - Working knowledge of Unix
    - Experience with backup strategies and backup technologies
    - Ability to work well with the team and on various projects
    - Willingness to learn new things and extremely flexible if workflow is changing
    - Fluent English (spoken and written)
    - Communicative competence (pro-active)
    Nice to have:
    - ITIL Certified
    - Training skills in order to mentor junior team members
    - Ability to conceptualize problems
    - Experience with automation tools (i.e. Puppet / Chef etc.)
    - Ability to work under pressure and remain decisive
    - Proficient in at least 1 programming/scripting language i.e. SQL
    - Experience with system monitoring tools and analyzing results
    - Bachelor degree, with a technical major such as Engineering or Computer Science

    Responsibilities

    Who you are:
    You will be involved in L2 and L3 activities, troubleshooting Database & key responsible for Migration & Upgrading activities. Usage of database catalogs, Space management, Use export/import, DB2move, Load utility , Use of problem and change management tools, Managing Archive log files

    What you�ll do:
    - User management
    - Backup and recovery methods including point in time recovery
    - Backup and recovery using DB2 backup and restore commands
    - Support Application Development, Testing, and Functional Teams with DB related issues
    - Promote DB2 related structure changes
    - Creation and maintenance of database objects (tables, columns, indexes, etc)
    - Troubleshoot performance issues, configuration and apply fixes
    - Create scripts in order to automate certain tasks
    - Structure, draft and review technical documentation, document technical requirements and processes
    - Responsible for uptime, performance, reliability, scalability, security and high availability of infrastructure machines
    - Trouble shooting database issues using db2diag and notification logs, snapshot, event monitor, db2hc or enabling hmon
