SQL Developer

In this role you will have a significant role in:

1. Database design/programming within the Software Development Team:

• Database design & Mapp out the conceptual design for a planned database;
• Refine the logical design so that it can be translated into a specific data model;
• Install and test new versions of the DBMS;
• Write database documentation, including data standards, procedures, domain data (sensitive information, personal/medical data);
• Work closely with IT/service team and software development team or database programmers;
• Communicate regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security;
• Ensure that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly & Maintain data standards;
• Design and deploy automated data management processes (retention and removing obsolete data);
• Design data anonymization procedures;
• Identify database degradation and propose improvements;
• Handle data migration.

2. Production systems’ support – work with support teams and local IT on following:

• User access, security & Capacity planning ;
• Monitor performance and manage parameters to provide fast responses to front-end users;
• Optimise database for the back-office, front-office and integration functions;
• Further refine the physical design to meet system storage requirements;
• Design access permissions and privileges;
• Develop, manage and test back-up and recovery plans;

If you have:

• Very good knowledge of SQL/ T-SQL, MS SQL- Server Script, ETL Workflow development;
• Relational Database Design know-how;
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar position;
• Excellent level in English language - both spoken and written;
• Ability to work both independently and as a team member;
• Flexible attitude, ability to perform under pressure and complying with strict deadlines;
• Pro-active behavior, good organization and time management skills;
• Provide a trusted partnership and commitment to the company values, in order to deliver a high quality of services to our customers;
• Relevant university degree in IT or in other related domain;
