    The Finance Shared Services Centre (FSSC) in Romania is the internal "unit" responsible for the execution and the handling of specific transactional tasks.     Job Description

    As the Billings Team Leader, you will assist with the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems, procedures and policies, as well as, training and directing the work of a billings team, including Billing Supervisors, for the SNC Lavalin shared services center.

    The Billings Team Leader will report into the Billings Manager and will be an active player in the creation of a new financial shared services center, participating in testing processes, developing training material, and being an integral part of the deployment of the billings processes in the center.


    Given the transformational nature associated with the creation of a shared services center, the Billings Team Leader may be required to travel to our North American offices for addressing and implementing process-related initiatives and projects in coordination with Finance and other BU functions.

    The Billings Team Leader is expected to manage a billings team and one or more Billings Supervisors appointed to the respective team.

    Capabilities:

    Demonstrated ability to lead a billings team;
    Flexibility and ability to implement new policies, procedures, and systems;
    Proficiency in English and French;
    Expertise relative to the order-to-cash process;
    Understanding of financial controls and assurance as it pertains to the billings cycle;
    Ability to work well independently and within a team environment.

    Responsabilitati

    Responsibilities:

    Assist with the training and deployment of a Billings team in a shared services center (covering North America);
    Establish work priorities, supervise and manage a Billings team and one or more Billing Supervisors;
    Provide assistance to the Billings Process Manager as required;
    Ensure the timely, efficient and accurate processing of all Billings transactions;
    Resolve any issues and internal / external enquiries that cannot be resolved by the billing supervisors and billings clerks;
    Provide people leadership through coaching, on the job training and performance development of the Billings Supervisors and Billings team;
    Develop a Team-Based culture;
    Facilitate continuous improvement of processes through the identification of continuous improvement initiatives;
    Measure KPI’s to assess team performance and report achievements or deficiencies to the Billings Process Manager.

    Experience working with Oracle ERP system;
    Experience working in a shared-services environment.
