Ubisoft Bucharest has been an important pillar for the local gaming industry since, being the first Ubisoft production studio outside France. It has a strong history of contributing to iconic AAA franchises such as Assassin’s Creed, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon, Watch Dogs and Just Dance, and has helped develop a total of over 60 games. Requirements:

Autonomous and resourceful;
Fast learner, proactive;
Team player;
Proven judgment to evaluate importance and impact of bugs;
Experience in software testing of at least 1 year;
Experience with testrail or other test tracking software;
Experience with Jira or other bug tracking tool;
Good knowledge of Office suite;
Ability to write relevant test cases that cover feature functionality;
Strong written and oral communication abilities (English);
Basic understanding of software development lifecycle

Nice to have :

Knowledge about Agile development methodology;
Experience working with remote teams;
Bachelor’s degree in computer science;
Any automation tool experience;
Knowledge about procedures and terms used in software testing.

Job Summary:

The job is part of the Technology Group’s Software test team and you will be working with teams situated in Bucharest and Montreal. The Technology Group is the primary technology partner of game production teams. We develop tools, middleware and online solutions used in Ubisoft games. We also provide advisory services to production teams that request an external viewpoint on challenges for which we have the necessary technical expertise.

Responsibilities:

Find and report bugs;
Validate bug fixes;
Elaborate/write test cases for the applications, based on requirements, to assure coverage for the functionality tests of the products;
Run previously written test cases;
Create version test and activity reports;
Manage product’s test documentation (Testrail);
Challenge the development team on the quality and usability of new features that are developed;
Assist in the preparation of training material;
Assist the rest of the team run tests on other products.
