Global Employer Services (GES) service line forms part of the Deloitte Tax practice. GES comprises over 2,400 tax professionals in 28 countries across Europe, serving companies who have employees whose jobs require them to travel internationally. We provide taxation advice and compliance services to both the corporate entity and their globally mobile employees to ensure compliance with home and host country tax regulations.

The GES service line has a range of technology and analytics solutions which our clients really like. Clients use these solutions to meet their compliance obligations and improve the deployment of their talent to meet strategic and operational objectives.

Position: Test Analyst within the GES Technology Solutions team. This role will be based in Bucharest and augment the existing development and testing teams based in London and Hyderabad.

Most of our work falls within the International Assignment Services (IAS) side of Global Employer Solutions and covers areas as diverse as Analytics Dashboards, Business travel assessment and Pre travel assessment.

The Test Analyst will be responsible for maintaining the quality of the company's range of products by designing and executing test cases for every release. Their focus will be on the manual testing. They will also be responsible for ensuring the quality of the new features and reporting any regression issues that may be introduced by bug fixing. Their contribution is required for all phases of testing, including integration, system test and product assurance.

Responsibilities include:

• Working with subject matter experts to understand the project and business
• Providing estimates and feedback to the Test Manager for project scheduling purposes
• Identifying candidate functionality for planning, testing, and executing the test cases.
• Preparation of test scripts, acceptance criteria to test each software component and demonstrate the business condition under test and the expected results
• Preparing and maintain regression test suite, ensuring continuous update
• Executing test cases and report progress on regular basis using TFS.
• Recording and tracking descriptive and reproducible defects and verify fixes
• Ownership of major functionality and working with other team members to understand requirements and evolve test scenarios , test cases and acceptance criteria
• Working closely with the development team to resolve defects
• Monitor team progress and provide regular and fast feedback to development team on completeness
• Participating actively in general Test team activities, including test environment support, test process improvement and quality audits

Qualifications / Experience

• Educated to degree level with 2-3 years commercial experience (B. Com. preferred)
• Formal training in software testing.
• Foundation level certification on ISEB or ISTQB

Technical skills

• At least 2 year of experience in software testing
• Good understanding of software development methodologies
• Experience of working in an Agile environment
• At least 1 year of experience in using commercial or open source tools Defect Tracking tools like Visual Studio, JIRA, Bugzilla (Visual Studio TFS preferred)
• Knowledge of at least one database management systems (Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or above preferred)
• Experience in testing Web Services (knowledge of Altova products and SOAP desired but not essential)
• Experience of test automation desired but not essential
