SUPPLIER PERFORMANCE ENGINEER, Location: Cluj-Napoca

Sales Consulting activates on the HR market since 1998, having a national coverage in several areas of expertise: recruiting and selection assessment center HR market mapping/due diligence projects, personnel leasing, payroll.

Sales Consulting has 2 fully operational branches: Cluj-Napoca (also the head-office) and Bucharest.
We are developing various projects (Recruitment, Training and Consultancy) in some of the most varied type of industries:
- AUTOMOTIVE/PRODUCTION/ENGINEERING (Specialists and Middle & Top Management positions)
- OUTSOURCING (BPO/SSC/CC)
- IT & C (C++, C#, .NET, Java, Linux etc)
- FMCG (sales & purchasing positions; all levels)
- PHARMA (all levels)

- 3 years of experience in one or more of the following functional areas: Continuous Improvement/ Lean, Supplier Development, Supplier Quality Assurance, Production Engineering
- project management, problem solving skills and can demonstrate a track record of achievements to date
- a university degree/ HND in Engineering or Scientific discipline preferred
- fluency in English
- good team player with a passion for excellence and driving improvements
- customer focused, with a sense of urgency to resolve issues timely and effectively
- availability for domestic/international travel as required and ability to work on own or unsupervised

- setting and reinforcing standards for a safe work environment
- implementing Supplier Performance Engineering Strategy to achieve business objectives for Quality, Speed, OTD and Flexibility
- engaging actively in building and improving supplier’s performance
- understanding customer specified buyout suppliers and identifying performance gaps
- establishing and implementing current Global SPE processes for managing buyout materials to align with direct materials; this will include dashboard monitoring of key metrics (DPPM, PDSL, RDSL, Lead times etc)
- implementing supplier qualification audit process for quick response to project requests
- evaluating current buyout suppliers to ensure they are audited and on the Approved Vendor List (AVL)
- carrying out gap analysis and audit suppliers where required
- managing daily quality issues to resolution using Material Review Board and Supplier Corrective Action processes
- proactively evaluating the buyout supplier performances / risk and carrying out Supplier Performance Business Reviews to improve performance and strengthen relationships
- carrying out final inspection at suppliers site
- ensuring close co-operation with Global SPE and manufacturing sites in Europe & MEA
- Advanced Quality Planning Process / Production Part Approval Process - to deliver guaranteed quality and short lead times for source changes, product transfers and new product introduction when applicable
- ensuring that control plans are implemented to sustain performance improvements
- Supplier Development Process - improving supplier performance to support manufacturing sites
- monitoring key performance indictors, identifying opportunities and implementing project plans to drive improved performance
- providing regular report outs to functional management, including current status and action plans for improvement
- ensuring suppliers are trained in Structured Problem Solving, Lean & Six Sigma methodology and that management is committed to the use of these tools
- leading cross-functional, cross-facility projects to improve supply chain performance
- identifying and swiftly eliminating problems / barriers
