Software Packager

Mandatory Skills:
o College degree in IT.
o Good knowledge of Installshield and APP-V Sequencer tools
o Very good knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and their components
o Good Visual Basic and PowerShell scripting skills
o Good knowledge of packaging standard rules and best practices
o Language skills: English – medium -> advanced
o Quick learner
o Ability to apply and build appropriate knowledge skills and experience
o Ability to work unsupervised and be proactive
o Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Nice to have skills:
o Previous experience in similar roles

Tasks and Activities
o Creating Windows installer packages using specific packaging tools (Installshield, Orca) and customizing them according to the client’s requirements
o Creating APP-V packages using APP-V Sequencer and customizing them according to the client’s requirements.
o Creating standard documentation for the created package
o Using standard vb scripts in order to customize or manipulate the application’s behavior
o Wrapping packages according to customer’s requirements, for easier software deployment
o Investigating various packaging issues that may occur and providing solutions for fixing these issues
o Testing the basic package functionality
o Determining the application’s compatibility with the latest Operating Systems using specific tools and procedures
o Remediate applications or packages in order to assure their compatibility with the latest Operating Systems
