    Requirements

    Substantive Knowledge
    • Understanding of HPE Software key terms and conditions (Big 8)
    • Basic analysis of complex fact patterns from relationships, purchases and existing agreements
    • Strong drafting skills for proposed redline rebuttals
    • Application of "cause and effect" thinking
    • Strong communication skills verbal and written
    • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
    • The ability to articulate complex terms and recommendations to suppliers, sourcing team, and customers.
    Education and experience
    • First level university degree or equivalent experience
    • Typically 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain functions
    Knowledge and Skills Required
    • Strong understanding of Procurement processes, industry, and complex suppliers.
    • Strong analytical skills.
    • Proficient business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint) and supply chain modeling skills.
    • Strong knowledge and use of procurement tools and applications.
    • Strong communication skills, including presentation and negotiation abilities.
    • Basic Project Management Skills.
    • Strong teamwork and basic leadership skills; basic influencing skills.
    • Mastery in English and local language.
    • Demonstrated problem-solving ability.
    • Comprehensive understanding of current HP contract positions.
    • Strong understanding of contracting principles and demonstrated depth of hand's-on contracting expertise.
    • Experience planning for and coordinating complex negotiations involving contract terms and conditions for both legal and commercial
    • Ability to create a contract from standard or customized contract templates
    • Applies cause and effect thinking to identify challenging contact risk areas.
    • Strong capacity for evaluating supplier pushback and developing solutions.
    • Strong ability to draft contract solutions in known contract risk areas to obtain acceptable outcomes with limited supervision.

    • Capable of applying pre- packaged contract solutions to obtain acceptable outcomes.

    As procurement specialist you will be part of a dynamic International team that will partner shoulder-to-shoulder with our software and internal businesses, along with our strategic suppliers in support of our indirect internal procurement services.

    As procurement specialist you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end strategy from: supply base analysis, strategy setting, sourcing / RFP’s, negotiating, and contracting. You will work closely as a part of team support the indirect procurement strategy leads. The team will have value and savings targets assigned, so the ability to negotiate contracts that have solid legal terms and favorable pricing, without comprising on service and the standards is absolutely vital.

    Solid partnership with our software and internal business are a must. The understanding of their goals and objectives must be considered as you create procurement strategies that look to complement and embellish them. Your ability to communicate is also imperative as you articulate strategy, direction, risk and outcomes.
    Your ability to weight-up all the considerations and factors, make trade-offs and use your judgment to drive contracts to quick conclusion in vital to the success of the team.

    This role will support HPE's Software business and internal business functions in the indirect area and will partner at a strategic level in support of:

    • Human Resources
    • Marketing
    • Global Real Estate
    • Business Services

    Procurement primary role and responsibilities are described below:

    Set Strategies, run sourcing events, negotiate commercial pricing, provide contracting support, guidance, and leadership as a content expert. Also consult and advice the businesses, and mange supplier relationships ongoing.
    Develop subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex procurement issues and recommend appropriate alternatives. Works on problems of diverse complexity and scope. May act as contract negotiator leader providing direction. Exercises independent judgment with a business mindset to deliver solutions and expedite outcomes. Has the ability to handle most situations. May seek advice in order to make decisions on complex contractual issues.




    Responsibilities
    • Work as a partner with the businesses and internal teams
    • Meet regularly with assigned strategic sourcing managers and stakeholders to understand the category landscape and the business environment
    • Lead all strategic sourcing, and contract negotiations
    • Executes business judgment in weighing up risks and mitigating the risks
    • Responsible for management, cleanness, and accuracy of the contract workspace repository data base
    • Ensure that contracts are negotiated quickly to ensure Indirect Procurement can capture value quickly
    • Work on process improvement, simplification and speed of execution
