Technical Development Engineer (PL1/DB2)

Job Competencies

• Strong competence and experience in PL/1, DB2, JCLs
• Experience in Endeavor
• Good knowledge and experience Linux environment
• Must: English language proficiency oral and in writing
• Must: BS/BA graduation / Desired MSc ( computer science/IT)
• 3-5 years experience in SW design and programming
• Desired: work experience in large SW development projects
• Desired: work experience with distributed SW systems
• Desired: work experience in the insurance sector with policy administration platforms and/or ERP solutions in the context of an insurance company or bank
• Desired: Functional and technical experience of working in ABS projects
• Desired: Working experience with ABS data model (contract, claim, person, finance)
• Experience in design implementation, testing and maintenance of software solutions
• Experience in collaborative agile environments (scrum)
• Experience in working across team’s with other SW-engineers, business-/design engineers and architecture for sustainable and reproducible solutions and to improve technical standards, design-principals and methodologies
• Demonstrable problem solving- and analytical skills
• Demonstrable experience in issue analysis and troubleshooting

Nice to have:

• Experience in Scripting
• Experience in Microfocus tool set
• Experience in Eclipse, SVN

Key Responsibilities

You will be involved in developing a platform that will integrate applications used across multiple organizations in Allianz Group. Agile approach, analysis, development and tests are a few of the attributes required, therefore they are pursuing the T-shaped skill profile through primary SW development competencies (Host or Java) which are complemented by secondary competencies (Design and Test).
