Citi - Summer Intern (Corporate, Romania)

We are currently looking to hire students for our Summer Internship Program to our Bucharest office in Romania.

LOCATION AND DURATION

This program within the Fixed Income, Commodities & Currencies (FICC) department is primarily aimed at students in their final year of university (though exceptional candidates at an earlier stage of study are going to be considered) and takes place in our Bucharest office.

This is a 3-month program running between mid-June and mid-September 2017.

At present time we are only accepting candidates who can work with us full-time throughout the program.

Job purpose:

The selected candidate is expected to support the daily work of the Fixed Income, Commodities & Currencies (FICC) department, will perform research and analysis of local and multinational corporations, client presentations, market research, etc. The intern will work on projects of various levels of complexity, assistance with internal documentation and interaction with the other departments of the bank. The department is responsible for corporate sales of FX and derivatives product, trading and risk treasury.

Key responsibilities:

• The intern will be working closely with Sales, Trading and Risk Treasury with the main task to facilitate day-to-day work in the dealing room
  • the sales side, this is likely to include research and analysis in response to clients' or internal inquiries, working on client presentations / term sheets, client activity screening and analysis, coordinated projects with other departments in the bank
  • the trading and risk treasury side, the intern will be expected to follow and summarize economic data and market research, go through Citi's trade ideas along with the trader, assist with positions monitoring if applicable and participate in liquidity management on a daily basis

The selected candidate will be introduced to the functions in the department in detail and within the bank as a whole. The internship gives the opportunity to gain comprehensive baseline understanding of financial markets and world economics, banking and client offering and is likely to improve presentation and analytical skills.

This is a paid internship program.

Qualifications

• Currently completing a BSc/MSc in Economics, Business Administration, Finance or similar 
(students in their final year of university, though exceptional candidates at an earlier stage of study are going to be considered) ?xml:namespace prefix="o" ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"?
• MS Office with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent communication skills - English is a must
• Interest in financial markets, basic knowledge of financial products and good understanding of economics
