Electrical Design Engineer

VON Consulting is an HR Consultancy company, providing solutions and services in the following areas: recruitment and executive search, personnel leasing, payroll, administration and training.

- Polytechnic faculty graduate – electrical field (Automation and computer control, Electronics and Telecommunications, Energetic);
- 2 years’ field experience, as service/commissioning engineer for industrial machines.
- Experience in commissioning for industrial machines (knowledge about valves, sensors, motors, actuators, etc.;
- Capable of interpreting a product service manual);
- Experience with Siemens products (PLC’s – 300 series, CNC’s – 840D series, PCU50) – commissioning, setup, debugging;
- Electrical design knowledge, capable of reading and interpreting a complex electrical diagram.
- Capable of testing and debugging an electrical circuit;
- Methodical approach to problem solving;
- Capable of organizing actions and retrieving historic data;
- Capable of driving ideas/projects forward;
- Able to work effectively to meet agreed timescales having considered and planned the project activities;
- Communication skills;
- Problem solver;
- English language - conversational;
- German language is a plus.

- Read the machine task book;
- Document the job/tasks;
- Create the software program (PLC/NC) for the machine;
- Debugging / error solving;
- Hardware debugging when necessary.
- Create and debug the software problem;
- Act as soon as possible when a problem appears in order to solve it;
- Create and maintain a good cooperation with the other design/production persons within the group;
- Involve actively in testing/commissioning phases of the project;
- Assist all colleagues in each department when requested;
- Contribute to documentation improvement / error solving – report any issues in the documentation;
- Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports;
- Follow diagrams and/or written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system;
- Respond (within time limits) to call-outs;
- Decide when the project can go to a bottleneck and act accordingly, by interacting with colleagues within or outside the company;
- Inform the production/design manager about the problems accordingly.
