C++/Cloud - Junior Research Engineer

What should you bring to the project:

You must possess a degree in Computer Engineering or related fields. PhD is a big plus.

Additional qualifications include:

C/C++ hands-on programming experience preferably in one of the domains: embedded, operating system, drivers, telecom…but not limited to
Programming experience under Linux, or highly proficient in using Linux tools
Good understanding of computer architectures, CPU architecture, OS internals
Good understanding of software performance; previous experience with VTune/perf is a plus
Previous research involvement (articles, conferences, etc)
Previous involvement in Open Source
Excellent technical communication skills

RINFers will be engaged in optimizing the performance of open source languages and frameworks used in cloud applications, typically with the major cloud providers; Profiling and optimization of cloud applications, ensuring that most used server programming languages in the industry execute best on our client’s architecture. The role involves a close collaboration with engineers from our client’s headquarter in Silicon Valley.

You will have the opportunity to make research contributions, publish whitepapers, blog posts, engage with the Open Source communities.
