Internship - Programming and Data Structures

SKILLS
• Good understanding of concurrency and parallel programming;
• Good general programming knowledge of a language of choice;
• Good understanding of classic data structures (list, maps) and their transformations (sorting, ordering);
• A good grasp of OO principles with hands-on experience.
Preferable:
• Any exposure to partitioning/Big Data tools (Hadoop, Hive, Spark);
• Exposure to SQl, and database programming;
• Knowledge of unit testing and associated tools;
• Knowledge of Python is an advantage;
• Used to work in a collaborative environment;
• Used to work with associated tools: code versioning, task scheduling, continuous integration, test.

• Identify and suggest various opportunities to improve efficiency and functionality;
• Active involvement in Big Data stack configuration and tuning;
• Active attempts to profile, optimize and improve Big Data stack developed code.
