Senior System Test Engineer

Requirements:

3-5 years experience of functional and/or system testing including test planning, design and execution
Experience with testing complex systems for system level attributes (Performance, Capacity, Scalability, Reliability, Availability, Endurance)
Very good knowledge of Windows and Linux OS, able to debug complex performance and reliability issues
Experience implementing, maintaining and executing system level tests
System Administration skills with Windows, Linux, NAS, Networks
Experience in performing System Testing in an Agile environment
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Proactive, able to quickly identify risk areas
Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems
Experience with test automation

Nice to have:

Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Unix Shell, Perl
Experience in working in global organizations where a team may be split across multiple geographic locations
Knowledge of network and Internet standards & protocols (SOAP, REST, JSON, HTTP, SMTP, HTTP, FTP)
Database Experience (Oracle, SQL or DB2)
Experience using defect tracking systems (e.g.: Mantis, Bugzilla, Jira)

As a System Tester, you have a key role in ensuring that our products provide the level of performance, capacity, scalability and availability that our customers expect.
Responsibilities

Ensure great quality by focusing on the non-functional attributes of the product
Develop and expand the teams capabilities to perform System and Performance Testing
Collaborate with Product, Design, Application Engineering and Developers within distributed teams
Take part in the requirements analysis, define test cases, create and maintain the cases in the case repository
Perform root cause analysis of the system level issues
Create defects based on the analysis and verify fixed defects based on risk assessment of the affected areas
Responsible for the overall quality of the product and will be involved in planning, design, validation, verification and sustenance of the product
