Head of Firmware/Software Department

VON Consulting is an HR Consultancy company, providing solutions and services in the following areas: recruitment and executive search, personnel leasing, payroll, administration and training.

● Master’s degree in Computer science, Information technology engineering or similar.
● Practical experience in full product development of electronic devices.
● Experience in developing medical devices would be considered an advantage.
● Knowledge of C/C++.
● Experience with development of embedded firmware (e.g. for ARM microcontrollers) and/or application software (e.g. for Windows or Linux).
● Familiarity with software development life cycle.
● Knowledge and practical experience with agile software development methods would be considered a strong advantage.
● Minimum 2-3 years of experience in management of an engineering team.
● Flexible team player with strong communication skills.
● Self-organized and result-oriented.
● Fluent in English.
● Computer literacy - Google Apps, MS Office package

● Build a team of firmware and software engineers, that will take part in multidisciplinary project teams working on development of medical devices.
● Lead the team of engineers and work with them on developing their capabilities (hard and soft skills).
●Making sure the engineers follow the company’s best practices.
● Participate in project reviews and technical reviews.
● Performance appraisal of members of the team.
