SOFTWARE TEST AUTOMATION ENGINEER – ETCS

• Computer science graduates (Automatics and Computers Faculty, Informatics, Faculty of Cybernetics) or degree of Transportation Faculty.
• Experience in software testing (preferable safety critical applications);
• Knowledge in test automation;
• Basic knowledge of Java;
• Comfortable working with UNIX / LINUX in command line;
• Experience in using SW development tools (SW versioning, requirements management tools, Eclipse).


Would be a plus

• Familiar with Agile methodologies (SCRUM, KAN-BAN….);
• Planning/Reporting management tools (PRIMAVERA, JIRA…);
• Test skills (knowledge of ISTQB terms/definitions, preferable certification of ISTQB L1);
• Experience with embedded and real-time SW;
• Experience with applying standards, especially CENELEC;
• Knowledge of ETCS standards.

Test of complex and safety-critical application software for the railway field, including:

• Specification of Test Cases on Requirements basis;
• Implementation of Test Cases for system and subsystem test. Writing of test programs and test data;
• Automation of Test Cases;
• Execution of manual and automated tests;
• Usage of complex test environments, tools and simulation;
• Evaluation of the test output (coverage, traceability, progress);
• Perform reviews;
• Test documentation;
• Regular test reporting;
• The tests will be performed in close co-operation with experts from Thales Austria.
