Design Engineer

Schlumberger engineers, designs, and manufactures flow and pressure control technologies for customers working in the oil and gas industry worldwide.

Bachelor degree in mechanical/ oil& gas equipment;
Technical knowledge - mechanical manufacturing techniques;
Technical drafting,
Material strength, materials specification and processes;
Calculation skills;
Communication skills;
English Language (advanced);
PC skills (MS Office) & knowledge of Inventor, AutoCAD, MathCAD, ERP/MRPSystems (SAP - advantage);
Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/ 6 Sigma tools(Value Engineering- advantage)

Handling projects of moderate scope and complexity
Analyze and develop Product designs in order to meet Customer`s needs having an awareness of good economic design and safety, both in manufacture and function;
Create and check drawings and BOM’s in conformity with customer specifications and Cameron standards, ensuring that all designs are done timely and accurately;
Create and check design calculations to verify the products to meets the design requirements and standards;
Require and plan meetings for project analyze (Design review);
Analyze and establish technical solutions to non-conform products;
Analyze and establish technical solutions to problems communicated by customers;
Participate to creating and checking of technical specifications and procedures;
Utilize the Cameron Engineering Standards for choosing the material specifications and initiate requests for modification of them, when is necessary;
Gather documentary evidence regarding the general and special requirements of the products;
Give assistance to the Sales & Marketing Department in identifying customer needs and in confirming existing product part numbers;
Provide technical assistance during manufacturing process, until the products are installed;
Give technical advice for the internal and external customer at his level of responsibility;
Submitting new proposal ideas for products;
