    Senior  Buyer with French

    Location: Prague

    Full time permanent contract
     

    Role Overview

    Johnson & Johnson is currently opening new procurement hub for the whole EMEA region in Prague. Buyer manages all sourcing activities associated with the regional tactical spend and delegated spend in the region. The person is responsible for delivering cost savings, payment channel compliance and supplier optimization. All communication with suppliers and negotiations are managed by the Lead Buyer. Lead Buyer is also responsible for all Regional Market knowledge for various categories.

    Key Responsibilitie

    Buying/Spot Buying activities:

    • Manage the purchase order process in our system - including creating and approving the purchase requisition, selecting suppliers, verifying budget alignment, and confirming delivery of orders
    • Perform supplier negotiations and process payment requests (RFI, RFP)
    • Execute sourcing events, evaluate results, communicate with suppliers on quotes and  interface with contracting
    • Receive, analyze, and resolve supplier inquiries, disputes, and payment discrepancies
    • Perform one-off exception purchases, negotiate final pricing terms, and select suppliers based on singular demand
    • Manage spot-buy activities from requestors
    • Perform data analytics, forecast demand, and identify baselines for purchasing that meet prioritized business requirements

    Analyze and Review Contracts:

    • Determine requirements for contract creation, create contract, and leverage purchase order terms
    • Review and approve contracts and amendments with contracting department

    Market Intelligence Management:

    • Prioritize and validate potential strategic options, determine the benefits cases for these options, and measure the performance against established KPI benchmarks
    • Assist in the development of the long term procurement vision
    • Assure that buying activities are aligned to industry standards and meet regulatory requirements 
     
    Qualifications
    • 3-5 years of experience in sourcing/buying in an SSC/BPO environment
    • Experience from shared service center is required
    • Expected areas of experience: direct/indirect sourcing, tactical buying, tendering, spot buy
    • Proficient English and French spoken and written is required
    • Ability of effective communication with suppliers on one hand, internal stakeholders and business users on the other
    • Excellent negotiation skills
    • Stress resistant personality – able to work under pressure
    • Ability to work within the team, as well as independently on assign tasks
