EHS Engineer

Tenneco is present in Romania with the Global Shared Services Center in Bucharest and also with the Braking products plant in Ploiesti, Prahova.

EDUCATION:
•Minimum education is Degree level.
•Certified Auditor (ISHSAStraining desirable.

EXPERIENCE:
•Min. of 3 years of EHS engineering work experience required.
•Auditing (External/Internal) experience desirable.
•Involvement in complex, multi-task orientated projects.
•Experience of volume manufacturing environment will be an advantage.
•Practical experience of purchasing and commercial activities desirable.
•Able to communicate effectively, both orally and written in English.
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Abide by the location’s EH&S policy endorsed by the local management, comply with the legal and other requirements and operational controls established under its EHSMS, work toward achieving established objectives and targets, and conform to procedures consistent with the ISHSASstandard. Report, and if necessary stop, any activity that does not conform to the policy or may injure them. Conduct regular visits to F-M Manufacturing sites and Technical centers.
•Potential for travel up to 50% of time.
•Support Manufacturing sites for EHS Related Issues/Concerns
•Support Manufacturing sites for Certification threatening corrective actions
•Maintain and monitor tracking systems and data bases for the Braking group.
•to provide advice for the design, implementation and maintenance of the company’s EHSMSs to conform to the EHS Policy.
•Support segment Global Manager Environmental, Health and Safety, business unit and facility activities in the region related to conformance with Federal-Mogul’s EHS Policy and EHS Standards.
•Report regularly to segment Global Manager Environmental, Health and Safety and support reviewing EHS performance, effectiveness of the EHSMSs and their identification of opportunities for system improvement.
•Support the review the company’s EHS Standards and EHS Policy, and the development of segment and Business Unit EHS Objectives and Targets
•Knowledgeable in Environmental Health & Safety requirements for Europe, Asia
•Manage finished braking products MSDS for Europe, Asia
•Work with braking manufacturing facility to provide IMDS submissions for PPAP
•Develop a working knowledge of the customary materials. Understand supplier SDS and requirements


Receive and Validate supplier datasheets
•Request for datasheets from suppliers globally through email.
•Send multiple remainder mails to the suppliers for the parts which we have not received.
•Call the suppliers and obtain the datasheets.
•Train the internal FM employee, suppliers if the responsible persons are not aware of IMDS and requirements.
•Evaluate the received datasheets in IMDS system.
•Accept, if datasheets are in accordance with Federal Mogul requirements.
•Reject and follow up with suppliers if the datasheets are not in accordance with Federal Mogul requirements.



Customer Submissions
•Receive IMDS request from Federal Mogul.
•Download the BOM’s and drawing details from the database or PDM.
•Check for the availability of supplier datasheets.
•Request and follow up for supplier datasheets if missing.
•Validate the datasheets.
•Creation of datasheets for the final Assembly.
•Quality check and submission to customers.
•Folloz up with suppliers if the datasheets are rejected from customer till the correct datasheets are obtained.
•Resubmission of datasheets to customers.
•Train the suppliers if the suppliers are not aware of IMDS and requirements.



Reporting & Escalation:
•Provide weekly reports and Time tracking sheets to the responsible Persons.
•Conduct the weekly calls with the responsible Persons to resolve the Issues.
•Conduct the Escalation calls with the responsible Persons, if provided with permission.


Additional Requirements:
•Collect Supplier IMDS Org ID from all Friction Material Suppliers.
•Collection and validation of datasheets.
•Submit Friction Material Assemblies to customers.
•Suppliers and SQD who are not aware of IMDS and requirements will be trained.
•EHS Safety specialist for the office area in Bucharest. Definition and written of Risk assessment, H&S work instruction, training of Employees.
•Supplier audits for the Quality Team.
•Definition and written of EHS and IMDS procedures.
