Junior Consultant - Corporate Law

Job purpose

As a Legal Assistant 1 you will work on various client projects in different industry sectors in which EY Law is acknowledged as a market leader. You will also keep informed of professional standards and firm policies and procedures and effectively apply this knowledge to different client situations.

Client responsibilities

• Assists in giving advice regarding various legal aspects concerning practice areas such as corporate law, civil / commercial law, real estate law, labor law, insolvency law, competition law
• Performs technical research on various legal matters
• Develops and maintains good communication channels with public authorities and institutions
• Learns how to use EY tools in order to respond to EY policies and procedures
• Works closely with legal seniors
• Assists seniors/managers in preparation of memoranda, emails, file notes and ancillary documents in conjunction with serving the client (e.g., proposals, engagement letters, reports).
• Constantly follows-up with seniors/managers on related engagements
• Develops and maintains strong working relationships with colleagues and client personnel

Qualifications and technical skills required

• Law University graduate
• Member of the Bar (preferably Bucharest Bar)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Romanian
• Proficient IT skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)
