    Background profile
    • Undergrad in Accounting or Finance
    • MBA or ACCA desirable
    • 4+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles
    • Prior Retail or FMCG company experience

    Responsibilities

    Planning:
    • Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives;
    • Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans;
    • Develop financial and tax strategies;
    • Manage the budgeting processes;

    Operations:
    • Manage the budgeting processes;
    • Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team;
    • Manage the accounting, tax and treasury departments;
    • Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures;
    • Implement operational best practices;

    Financial Information
    • Implement operational best practices
    • Oversee the issuance of financial information
    • Report financial results to the board of directors

    Risk Management:
    • Report financial results to the board of directors
    • Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile
    • Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of fiscal authorities and auditors
    • Report risk issues to the board of directors
    • Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations

    Funding:

    • Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts
    • Arrange for debt and equity financing
