MN / System R&D and Tools – Software Java Developer

SPIDER is a unique end-to-end tool developed by Nokia SRDT/Tools and Information for Network Design E2E activity to quickly build out a cost optimized overall mobile network architecture for any wireless (or mix of) wireless/Fix network and IP technologies. The main goal of SPIDER is to support the designers in project phase (answer to bids or anticipation programs). The software development team is located entirely in Timisoara and it consists of 4 developers working in an Agile mode (SCRUM).


Requirements

• University diploma (preferably Computer Systems Engineering or Informatics)
• Knowledge of Object Oriented concepts (architecture, design)

• Previous working experience with Java IDEs (preferably Eclipse) and file versioning systems (preferably SVN)

• From 2-5 years experience in Java programming (preferably J2SE)

• Previous working experience with Hibernate, Swing, JUnit/FEST/TestNG, Apache POI is a plus

• Medium to advanced English knowledge (written and conversational level)

• Team-player (previous working experience in a software development team is a plus)

• Strong abilities for information analysis and synthesis

• Innovation capabilities

• Flexibility towards experiencing with new working modes and new software technologies

• Collaborates with ND CC (Network Design Competence Centre) to understand the functional requirements (specification documents)

• Design functional modules according to the existing architecture

• Implement new software modules

• Implement unitary tests and automated tests for the functional code you develop

• Maintain already existing modules (bug fixes, adding new functionalities)

• Synchronize frequently with the specification team on the features under development

• Adaptable to working in an Agile team using Scrum methodology
