    JOB DESCRIPTION

    This is an interesting, challenging and varied roll for an IT all-rounder, as you will be single point of contact and local technical administrator for one satellite office within the larger international organization.
    The majority of the day to day activities will involve helpdesk and on-demand technical support of the hardware, desktops and laptops, along with operating system and application problem resolution, updates and software installation. This will be mostly face-to-face, with some telephone and remote support, so strong client/user focused skills are essential. Support of the associated site hardware such as network, printers and telephony will be required, but escalation routes to specialists are in place as required. There will also be the opportunity to contribute to the overall team effort, including expanding the knowledge base, supporting other local admins/IT colleagues, and improving the quality of the service provided to the users.


    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Identify and initiate resolutions to IT related user problems, requests, and concerns associated with hardware, software, and other IT resources.
    • Ensure escalation of all non-routine issues to appropriate personnel;
    • Assist with the planning and implementing of user hardware and software;
    • Maintain inventory of parts and supplies;
    • Ensure a high level of client satisfaction is achieved and required service; 
    • Logging and keeping records of customer/employee queries;
    • Analyzing call logs so you can spot common trends and underlying problems.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Education: Degree in an IT related area (could be an advantage);
    • Good technical knowledge of Windows 7, windows server;
    • Proactivity, being able to work with users and solve problems quickly under stressful situations;
    • Fluency (written and oral) in English;
    • Client-driven approach & Service oriented attitude;
    • Flexible and proactive attitude, team oriented;
    • Handling confidential information in a discrete and responsible manner.
