• 2 to 5 year’s relevant experience required
• Bachelors in Business, HR Management, Organizational Development, Psychology or related field required
• Self-starter with natural tendency to take initiative and work independently
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with all levels of management across multiple disciplines
• A proven ability to understand the retail business and the constantly changing environment in which it operates
• Ability to listen and understand the needs of the employees, together with those of the company
• Track record of working with teams and influencing diverse groups and possess the ability to communicate successfully
• Team facilitation skills and experience in resolving complex problems impacting people, process and program issues
• A deep knowledge of HR programs and practices, including applicable state employment laws and regulations
• Proven experience managing multiple priorities and anticipating needs
• Results-oriented and demonstrated strategic thinking abilities
• Able to deal with ambiguous situations and adapt to competing priorities
• Strong facilitator experienced in resolving conflicts between different parties
• Innovation driven mindset, proactive and open minded to out of the box thinking processes;
• Trustworthy, with high ethical and professional standards
• Good listener with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent time management and organization/prioritization skills are essential
• Strong judgment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discernment and sensitivity
• Strong proficiency in all Microsoft Office software and comfortable learning new software/systems
• Partner with senior leadership to develop and implement effective HR policies and practices that will support the strategic growth of the business
• Provide HR expertise in the areas of recruitment, employee relations, development and coaching, compensation and organizational development
• Responsible for the delivery of proactive ‘direct search’ recruitment strategies to source and attract active and passive candidates
• At ease with recruiting using a variety of social media tools and research, explore and recommend solutions to ensure you identify the very best talent.
• Participate in the continual development of HR programs, such as recruiting, retention, compensation, benefits and training
• Collaborate with HR team to champion and accelerate a culture of excellence in which people feel engaged and inspired to deliver top business results
• Analyze and interpret various types of employee reports e.g. compensation, job levels, and attrition to guide decision making and provide proactive solutions
• Develop a deep understanding of the operational challenges of your business area and become an expert on the talent in your portfolio of clients
