Have a good understanding of legal terms and clauses, to make pertinent recommendations to top management with respect to new contracts
Ideally you have previous work experience in the IT/Software Development industry so that you will understand the product life cycle and the specific terms of the industry
Can discuss and align with partner departments – Sales and Delivery
Have a constructive/ assertive position and approach when negotiating with clients/ suppliers and when discussing with partner departments.
Excellent English as most contracts and discussions will require you to use it daily
Study new contracts to analyze and inform management of potentially risky clauses (penalties, delays, etc.)
Negotiate with clients/ suppliers the inclusion/ exclusion of such clauses and refer to top management when needed
Monitor contractual terms and “milestones” once a contract is signed, to ensure that specific deadlines are met (delivery of products, issuing and payment of invoices, etc.)
Will be comfortable taking on new tasks, which might pertain to other business areas (procurement, for example)
Setup and implementation of contract management function at company level
Setup and implementation of contract management processes
Drafting various contractual documents
Contractual documents review
Perform research on contractual terms and conditions or other regulations
Perform research on contractual terms and conditions or other regulations (data privacy, data protection.)
New opportunities review
Coordinate the preparation of the bid
Working with Project Leads to mitigate any contractual/commercial risks
