Quality Assurance Engineer

- BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Experience in software quality assurance as tester
- Experience in testing web platforms and client applications
- Experience in applying black-box test
- Knowledge of tests in the different test levels (system and acceptance testing)
- Basic Experience in usability and accessibility testing
- Experience in using specific QA tools for planning, tracking and reporting test results
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Java
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
- Highly motivated, self-driven and interested in Quality Assurance
- Very good communication skills and a great team player

Strong Plus:
- experience with Agile development models
- experience with SonarQube reports and / or Jenkins build automation tool.
- strong interest in web application security
- Linux command line tools (bash, curl, sed, awk, …) or any scripting language knowledge SQL
- Testing REST services using various tools available or the command line

- work on testing the functionality and content of customer facing products used on 1&1 Mail and Media Platforms
- be responsible for planning and conduction of all quality assurance measures for projects in the the Mail and Media division
- report and document bugs
- accompany projects from conception until roll-out and beyond until closure
- review requirement specification and technical documentation
- plan, design, develop, execute and report different types of tests for our web-based products
- design functional, non-functional and regression tests for new system releases
- work with development and production databases (MySQL, Cassandra) to validate correct behavior of the application and, occasionally, extract reports
- work Linux command line tools (or other tools suited for purpose) to validate REST call result
- work with Jira (creation and editing of defects, creation of dashboards and reports)
