AS400 RPG Developer

Our company was founded in August 2015 and our main objective consists of outsourcing the software development services provided to the European clients of Karalius Group, which unfold their activity in Romania. Another fundamental objective for us is broadening our area of activities, managing to offer our services to other potential interested companies, based in Bucharest.

• Strong analytical skills and self-starter with ability to take ownership for tasks and assignments;
• Excellent communication skills required and a professional phone manner;
• Experience in full SDLC required: user requirements gathering, application/system analysis and design,
development and deployment;
• 2+ years experience on OS400 / System 36;
• 2+ years of RPG, ILE-RPG, RPG/400, RPG36, OCL, CL, embedded and Dynamic SQL, QUERY/400,
RLU, DFU, SQL/400, Data Base Utility (DBU 5.0);
• Experience in the AS400 Turnover change management process would be good or similar deployment
tools (Aldon).
• Desirable : Finance, bank, accounting;
• English is a must, French is a plus but not mandatory.

You will join a multinational IT team spread in Paris, New-York, Montreal, Hong-Kong and Bucharest and will report to the Global of Post Trade Solution manager and Local services manager.

The applications the company is developing and maintaining are high sensitive as they are used by different Front Office and Middle Office populations (sales, trading, management) on the main financial places around the World (New York / London / Paris / Frankfurt / Hong Kong / Madrid / Milan / Tokyo / Singapore).

• Understand and support Bank, Finance and accounting operation;
• Work closely with the Business Analyst and within the IT group;
• Develop and support custom / bespoke iSeries programs with primary alignment to Listed Systems
group;
• Assist with 3nd level support of the operation, testing, enhancement of the custom application and its
impact capacity process;
• Work on finance projects;
• Candidate would need to gain an understanding of finance and accounting roles and data flow within the
Technology group;
• Ensure the company's governance and developments are respected and fall under the firm strategic
model (i.e. system and application integration and product line workflow management);
• Ownership and accountability. Applicant will collaborate, execute task assignments on the sprint, Global
initiatives within the Listed Systems;
• Provide application support Level 3 on in house application (in/out of office hours) and iSeries batch
processing;
• Bespoke programming of reports for different offices or business lines around the various data files using
SQL, ILE RPG, Free format RPG, CLLE, (Xml and Java 20%) etc.;
• Gain experience with internal modules / sub-systems, trade load (MQ) and night cycle processing via training and support exposure.
