E-Commerce activity has an international footprint and company-wide impact integrating virtually all Ubisoft’s customer facing services. The Dev Ops Engineer’s role will be that of a specialist and advocate for ensuring the high-availability and high performance of the entire E-Commerce eco-system. The Dev-Ops Engineer will collaborate with the Product Owner, Development Team, Network Services and other IT services to ensure that the Architecture, Agile Development process, Quality Assurance process and the Services Integration work together smoothly to ensure the system lives up to customers’ expectations.

The role will demonstrate strong organizational skills, outstanding communication and inner drive to succeed.

Ubisoft’s E-Commerce system is a fast developing segment, therefore the position requires strong understanding & experience in the area.

Relevant experience:

- 5-years hands-on experience in System Administration and / or Web Applications development
- Ability to use a wide array of open source technologies and tools
- Experience with systems and IT operations
- Comfortable with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment
- Ability to develop tools / processes to ensure self-healing, scalable architecture
- Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration tools, such as Jenkins
- Good command of automation tools for development, testing and deployment
- Proficient with software development tools/environment such as Jenkins, JIRA, Confluence, GIT etc.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Shell/Java/Ruby/Perl/Python etc.
- Focused on business outcomes
- Comfortable with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders
- Proven ability to function effectively in a fast-paced international environment.
- Strong time-management skills and attention to details
- Capability of tracking, managing, and resolving multiple issues and risks efficiently
- Strong interpersonal skills are a must
- Fluency in English both written and oral
- Availability for regular travel abroad - every 3 months

- Always think and act with customer’s satisfaction in mind
- Drive high-quality results/deliveries through discipline and effective communication;
- Work closely with the Product Owner to define and follow application performance KPIs
- Collaborate with the Development team to ensure an efficient development process that will facilitate the system’s health and performance
- Work together with other IT Teams and Services managers to constantly improve the integrations with the E-Commerce systems
- Implement automated monitoring and health checks
- Implement self-healing and adaptive mechanisms to ensure Architecture answers heavy usage on the go
- Create a framework for automated development, deployment and configurations
- Create and support unit, functional and integrations test bed environment.
- Build metrics driven software development environment with supporting reporting tools.
- Integrate all development tools for validation workflow including build, check-in, code review, code coverage, defect tracking system
- Coordinate and track operations
- Regularly share findings and best practices within the E-Commerce team
