Purchasing Engineer

Arctic is the national leader in home appliances industry and one of the most appreciated Romanian brands. It has two production plants in Gaesti and Ulmi (near Targoviste) and almost 3000 employees.

University degree – technical background;
Understanding of technical specifications and characteristics of materials (drawings, etc.);
Analytical thinking, good market analysis techniques;
Integrity, analytical, results oriented;
Commercial contract terms knowledge;
PC Skills – MS Office package, SAP ERP would be an asset;
English – advance level;
Experience in a similar position would be a plus.

Identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, audit, set KPI, negotiate costs and sets long term contracts;
Integrates suppliers into new products developments (early supplier involvement);
Manage costs strategically across the supply chain;
Coordinates materials improvement projects;
Seek benefits from improvements in quality, inventory, productivity, delivery;
Supports Materials Planning, Product Development, Production departments;
Responsible for supplier problem resolution;
Conduct review of current suppliers relating to performance with quality, engineering, cost and logistics;
Reports to Purchasing Team Leader.

The job holder will be involved in direct materials negotiations, in compliance with company strategy and procedures.
