    This position is for a versatile and experienced developer to work as part of our global team to develop rich client web apps to support the clinical research and development of the next generation medication.

     

    Responsibilities:

    * Design and implement distributed rich web applications using Coffeescript, HTML5, AngularJS, Backbone, Underscore and JQuery with Promises.
    * Create responsive and inspiring web interfaces with Bootstrap, Less CSS, and D3
    * Using REST, grab and post data from/to cloud servers running PostgreSQL on Linux
    * Design, develop, and enhance app architecture to achieve performance, fault-tolerance and security
    * Apply industry best practice, object oriented principles, design and architectural patterns to achieve optimal software maintainability
    * Continually update technical knowledge and skills, be up to date with latest web technologies

    Minimum qualifications:

    * BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience in software development
    * Proficiency with object oriented software engineering and the software development lifecycle
    * User experience on Linux / Unix platform
    * Experience with modern Web technologies (e.g. browser-based app development, JavaScript, JQuery) and knowledge of relational databases
    * Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    * Strong interpersonal skills - able to work as part of a team and foster team cooperation
    * Effective oral and written English communication skills

    Preferred qualifications:

    * 3+ years of working in software development environment
    * Proficient with web application development
    * Software development experience on Linux / Unix platform
    * Experience of developing in an agile development environment
    * Strong knowledge of Distributed Architectures
    * Experience in at least one object oriented language (Java, C#, C++, Smalltalk, Ruby,).

    Cmed Clinical Services division is a global CRO providing services to the Biopharma industry worldwide. Our vision is to conduct clinical trials better than anyone else. We accomplish this by working with our clients to not only deliver the clinical trial effectively, on time and within budget, but also by leveraging our in-depth expertise to ensure the clinical trial is designed correctly. We have invested heavily in our drug development consulting capability which frequently helps our clients to design the right clinical studies/ clinical development plans. The advantage this provides them is the successful accomplishment of their commercial objectives. 

    Cmed Technology designed and developed Timaeus: a unique single platform for electronic trial design, paper & electronic data capture, monitoring, coding, data management and reporting. Using distributed cloud computing and mobile technologies, Timaeus has been deployed in over 400 clinical trials and has successfully passed multiple audits. The unique Timaeus design provides a number of benefits to our clients including rapid database build (weeks not months), mid-trial updates without down-time and non-reliance on the internet. These benefits lead to many advantages including the removal of EDC build from study start-up, no restriction on investigator site selection, no negative impact on recruitment timelines due to design changes, and elevated investigator motivation.
