API Java Developer - Junior

• Degree in Information Technology or equivalent
• Knowledge of web / front-end and J2EE development
• Familiarity with industrial application servers (JBOSS etc.)
• Knowledge of data persistence frameworks (JPA - EclipseLink, Hibernate, etc..)
• Experience with webservices in Java (JAX-RS)
• Preferred experience with no-sql databases (es HBASE)
• Familiarity with XML, XSD, XSLT, JSON
• Experience with industrial Relational Databases and SQL (preferably Postgresql)
• Familiarity with big data technologies (Hadoop, Cloudera, Hive etc.) and Solr platform is a big advantage
• Preferred knowledge of LINUX OS
• High attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work in a team environment and receive creative direction
• Ability to adapt to changing projects and coordinate with multiple clients
• Previous experience with Agile delivery process framework
• Good command of English both spoken and written
• Ability to travel: mostly Milan, Italy and Iasi, Romania

• Analysis and interpretation of business/functional specification, carrying out response activities in terms of technical analysis, coding and documentation
• Provides full implementation of standard web API solutions to the given standards
• Code designs into interactive prototypes and production-ready web APIs
• Code to company standards and keep up-to-date with new technologies and trends
• Update and maintain existing products, including content updates, interface enhancements, API documentation and performance profiling/optimization
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Works both on evolution and maintenance environments
