GL and Accounting — ERP System ANALYST

- Proficiency in English;
- French would be an asset;
- Knowledge of an ERP and accounting flows subledgers to GL, Oracle e-Business Suite ERP would be an asset; Hyperion would be an asset;
- Good understanding of international accounting and project accounting(WIP, differed revenue) ;
- 2+ years experience as Financial Analyst or Accountant in Global environment;
- Proficient knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, Excel advanced is a must;
- Bachelor of commerce with major in accounting or ACCA/CPA or equivalent-would be an asset;
- Knowledge of SQL would be an asset;
- Excellent oral and written communications skills;
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, demanding environment ;
- Strong analytical skills and curious to go in depth;
- Efficient time management;
- Self-motivated, independent and ability to execute with minimum supervision;
- Team player.

As a GL and Accounting – ERP System Analyst, you will be providing support (Level 2) to the Business Unit Representatives /in the Company end users, which comprises trouble shooting problems related to reconciliations, resolving system issues and responding to general inquiries. Also proactively address any Financial data issues that may be detected through the ERP GL module and Hyperion .

You will also participate in designing, testing and documenting new developments in the financial system applications, as well as, assist with month-end and routine maintenance tasks in the system.

The financial systems analyst will operate through a an internal ticketing tool and contact center help-desk as part of a newly created global shared services center.

Responsibilities:
- Answer financial and system support calls (level 2) received from the end users and ensure resolution in a timely manner;
- Ensure reconciliations on Projects Accounting and GL upon request or proactively ;
- Perform root cause analysis and identify solutions for the problem;
- Document issues and data fixes in the application;
- Prepare training documents to inform end-users of the new functionalities implemented;
- Identify areas for improvement in either business processes or the system;
- Manage Service Requests with Oracle to resolve issues identified in the application-when the root cause is in the system;
- Perform certain routine responsibilities such as system configurations, integrity checks and closing modules for month-end;
- Contribute to developing a Team-Based culture.
