Functional Test Engineer (Automotive) (F/M) - Marquardt

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Functional Test Engineer to ensure quality, reliability, and compliance of automotive software and system solutions throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze system and software requirements and derive test cases and test scenarios

• Traceability between test cases and requirements

• Plan, execute, and document software and system-level tests

• Apply appropriate test methods and test design techniques

• Perform testing according to V-Model, ASPICE, and Agile processes

• Validate ECU behavior using CAN / LIN communication

• Develop and maintain test scripts using CAPL and/or C/C++

• Identify, document, and track defects in collaboration with development teams

• Create test completion reports

Required Qualifications

• University degree in Electronics, Automation, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or similar

• Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive software/system testing

• Strong knowledge of software / system test (design) methods and techniques

• Solid understanding of electronics fundamentals

• Experience with CAN / LIN protocol communication

• Programming experience with CAPL and/or C/C++

• Good command of English, written and spoken

Nice to Have

• Experience with Entry and Authorization Systems (UWB, BLE, Digital Key)

• ISTQB certification (Foundation or higher)

• Hands-on experience with automotive testing tools (e.g., CANoe, CANalyzer, DiVa, CANStress)
