· Deep Technical Expertise: 5+ years in system/infrastructure engineering, with 3+ years in senior Azure architecture/engineering roles delivering production-grade solutions.
· Azure Core Mastery: Strong knowledge of Azure compute (VMs, App Services, AKS ), storage, and networking, plus governance and security fundamentals.
· Strong Automation Skills: PowerShell and/or Azure CLI proficiency; ability to build repeatable solutions through IaC and scripting.
· Governance & Security Mindset: Practical experience with Azure Policy, RBAC/PIM, Conditional Access, and implementing secure patterns (Key Vault, Private Endpoints, least privilege).
· Operational Maturity: Experience running and improving reliability: monitoring/alerting, incident response, troubleshooting, backup/DR, and structured documentation.
· Communication & Consulting Skills: Ability to explain complex topics clearly, align stakeholders, and lead technical decisions in a calm, solution-oriented way.
· Emotional Maturity: Self-aware, open to feedback, collaborative, and able to mentor without ego.
· Experience in Windows/Mac systems administration (deployment, configuration,

Responsabilitati
What you’ll do:
As a Microsoft & Azure Infrastructure Engineer, your mission is to design, implement, and optimize Microsoft and Azure infrastructures, both on-premises and in the cloud, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and well-governed, with reliable operations and seamless integration following best engineering practices.
· Architectural Excellence: Design and deploy scalable, secure, resilient Azure environments (IaaS, PaaS, and selective serverless) aligned with business and operational requirements.
· Cloud Transformation: Lead end-to-end migrations from on premises to Azure (assessment → landing zone readiness → migration → stabilization), ensuring minimal downtime and clear handover to operations.
· Landing Zones & Governance: Define subscription and management group strategy, naming/tagging standards, RBAC/PIM models, and enforce compliance using Azure Policy/Initiatives.
· Advanced Identity & Security: Architect identity and access patterns with Microsoft Entra ID (Conditional Access, RBAC, PIM, MFA), and implement secure-by-default designs (Key Vault, Managed Identities, Private Link).
· Networking at Scale: Design and troubleshoot hub-spoke and multi-site connectivity using ExpressRoute, VPN, Virtual WAN, Azure Firewall, Application Gateway/WAF, Private DNS, routing (UDR), and segmentation strategies.
· IaC & Automation: Build repeatable deployments using Terraform and/or Bicep (modules, standards, environments), and integrate with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps) for controlled releases.
· Observability & Reliability: Implement monitoring, alerting, and dashboards using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Workbooks, Application Insights (where applicable), and define incident playbooks and SLO/availability patterns.
· Backup, DR & Resilience: Design backup and disaster recovery (Azure Backup, ASR), define RTO/RPO targets, and run periodic DR tests.
· FinOps & Optimization: Own cost efficiency by monitoring consumption, rightsizing, applying reservations/savings plans where appropriate, and creating practical cost governance with tagging and reporting.
· Client Advisory & Mentorship: Act as a trusted advisor (SME) for clients and mentor internal engineers—review designs, raise standards, and grow a strong engineering culture.
· Documentation & Delivery Quality: Produce clear HLD/LLD, runbooks, and as-built documentation; drive clean operational handovers and post-incident reviews (RCA).
· Perform system administration activities such as:
System monitoring and troubleshooting.
Deployments, configuration and troubleshooting of OS.
· Assist with helpdesk functions as needed, such as responding to tickets, providing desktop support in a mostly windows environment and providing support in creating emails accounts and user password resets etc.
· Solve primary problems with existent network, WIFI and IP phone systems for clients (internal/external);
· On-site support at client’s headquarters (installation, configuration, troubleshooting).
