About Flip and the Role:
Flip is transforming how people buy and sell refurbished tech across Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, and Greece. As one of the most dynamic recommerce platforms in Europe, we are scaling fast and smart -- and we need strategic thinkers to help us lead the way.
We're looking for a Business Manager to actively contribute & scale FLIP to new heights. This role will be in charge of managing our activities and plans in Expansion Markets whilst also continuously working to grow our DEMAND/Sales Operations in new growth avenues (role will spearhead CAGR +30% growth ambition in Non-RO Markets). Your team will consist of Business Development Managers in each market + indirect reporting from Analysts in the Central team, this is a high-impact role where data meets business intuition, and strategic decisions directly influence company performance.
What you'll have to do:
- Interpret data to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights across all markets (BG, HU, GR);
- Co-create the development and execution of Flip's strategy across multiple markets and categories - including, but not limited to: scaling the business, improving our value proposition, making our platform the one-stop-shop for refurbished electronics in CEE;
- Together with your team, get local insights that can have a big impact on the total business OR tap into central projects to localize their potential to the maximum;
- Manage and coach your direct reports, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and fostering skill development;
- Own product strategy for allocated areas and continuous optimization through data insights and competitor intelligence;
- Collaborate with Supply, Marketing, Product and Finance teams to align on key initiatives and ensure delivery of growth & profit targets;
- Partner with the Commercial teams to assess and integrate new commercial partnerships and opportunities;
- Analyze business performance and report findings and recommendations to senior leadership, including forecasting and scenario planning - you will be instrumental in all major forecasting; processes: FC1/FC2/BDG and rolling monthly forecast.
What makes you a good fit:
- >5 years of experience in Consulting, Commercial/Category Management, Business Analytics, or a similar role, ideally in e-commerce, tech, or retail;
- Demonstrated ability to lead analytical and/or commercial teams delivering measurable impact through strategic decision-making;
- Strong business and financial acumen; understanding of P&L levers, customer behavior, and e-commerce dynamics;
- Excellent analytical skills, data is your close friend;
- Experience with multi-country or multi-market operations is preferred;
- Strong communication and leadership skills; able to influence cross-functional stakeholders and executives;
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field;
- Fluency in English required; Romanian and/or other regional languages (Hungarian, Greek, Bulgarian) are a plus.
